A step was taken by her
Which took her away from me;
Grey began to grow on the weather
Which, I suppose, she failed to see.
I stood there, cold as a stone,
As she slowly walked away;
On the sky, clouds casted their tone,
Darker than the night was that day.
My heart called out to her in pain;
That cry couldn’t get any louder;
The tears camouflaged in the rain,
The moaning suppressed by the thunder.
She kept walking, her back facing me;
I saw her vanish into the fog,
Leaving me behind in an eerie,
And I’ve been stuck there forever long.
