Untouchable Of Today

wp-1490067069118.jpg

Come,

Let us focus today,

On the life of a miserable soul;

Who,

Isn’t supposed to

Touch anyone around;

Who,

Isn’t welcomed to

Any auspicious occassion around;

Who,

Isn’t allowed to

Step a foot on a sacred ground;

Who,

Cannot come to

Moan over a dead loved one found;

Who,

Isn’t let to

Serve the food cooked with love unbound;

Who,

Isn’t allowed to

Maybe even give these thoughts a sound.
Come,

Let us understand today,

The identity of this miserable soul.

Some

Might think of it

To be an untouchable of the old times;

I

Just think of it

To be a menstruating lady of all times.
Come,

Let us clarify today,

A false belief our society beholds.

She,

On every step

Faces limitless number of odds;

She,

Shouldn’t be caused these sorrows

In the name of saints or Lords;

She,

Is a natural soul,

Not deserving any of the above rewards;

She,

Is a beauty,

Deserving the smiles, deserving the nods.
